Back to Glaucoma, it is a vision disorder that affects the optic nerves. These nerves are vital in transporting messages to the brain for interpretation. Gradually, once these nerves are affected pressure builds up normally termed as “intraocular pressure”. When there is no immediate treatment done, vision is lost with time.

Unfortunately, Glaucoma signs are unidentified at the initial stage and they can at times be misperceived for other eye conditions.

Open-angle glaucoma and Angle-closure glaucoma are the two types of Glaucoma and one of them must be diagnosed before Glaucoma treatment in India. Glaucoma treatment depends on the severity of the disease, but immediate treatment is eye drops.

Laser Surgery and Microsurgery are the other Glaucoma treatments in case the disorder has spread widely.

Individuals above 40, those with trauma, diabetes or poor vision are at risk of Glaucoma.

To her amazement, the surgeon informed that her treatment procedure was successful and that she had achieved 18/20. This is still one of the astonishing experiences she has ever had in life.
