What is Keratoconus ?

It is an eye disorder in which round cornea gets thinner and start to bulge into a cone shape. Due to this conical shape cornea you might have nearsightedness, blurry vision, double vision, light sensitivity and astigmatism. This occurs usually in both eyes. In most cases, scarring or a circle may be seen within the cornea. Only 1 in 2000 people is affected by this disease.

Glaucoma Can’t be Cured; Test your eyes



The EYES are one of the most delicate organs that human beings posses. Plans are drawn everyday to prioritize the general health, but the plans mostly exclude vision health. It must be noted that the eyes are used throughout the day, more than one may even use the legs for walking. Therefore, take action today by taking proper care of your eyes through;
  • Limiting the use of computers and phones
  • Taking in more water
  • Remove the eye contacts off at the end of the day
  • Get enough sleep
  • Take your eyes for checkup annually
  • Protect your eyes from direct sunlight, especially during tanning beds
  • Use googles where necessary
Back to Glaucoma, it is a vision disorder that affects the optic nerves. These nerves are vital in transporting messages to the brain for interpretation. Gradually, once these nerves are affected pressure builds up normally termed as “intraocular pressure”. When there is no immediate treatment done, vision is lost with time.

Unfortunately, Glaucoma signs are unidentified at the initial stage and they can at times be misperceived for other eye conditions.

Open-angle glaucoma and Angle-closure glaucoma are the two types of Glaucoma and one of them must be diagnosed before Glaucoma treatment in India. Glaucoma treatment depends on the severity of the disease, but immediate treatment is eye drops.

Laser Surgery and Microsurgery are the other Glaucoma treatments in case the disorder has spread widely.
